About the AIDS Permanency Planning Legal Project at LSCNY

The AIDS Permanency Planning Legal Project provides free legal services to people who:

  • Live with or are affected by HIV/AIDS
  • Have, care for, or are legally responsible for a child
  • live in Onondaga, Broome, Cayuga, Chenango, Cortland, Herkimer, Jefferson, Lewis, Madison, Oneida, Oswego, St. Lawrence, Tioga or Tompkins Counties.

Our Mission

The mission of The AIDS Permanency Planning Legal Project is to help people who live with HIV/AIDS and their families plan for their future with:

  • Standby guardianship designations and guardianship proceedings
  • Health care proxies, living wills, powers of attorney

What else can we do?

We also advise and/or represent our clients in:

  • Family court matters including custody, visitation, child support, paternity, orders of protection, neglect and abuse
  • Social Security applications, hearings and appeals
  • Divorce
  • Adoption
  • Immigration
  • Tenant matters
  • Discrimination in housing, employment, and public services
