Geographic Eligibility

The Central New York Legal HelpLine is available to any resident of our 13-county service area who qualifies based on income. Our experienced attorneys provide a range of free legal services from advice to full representation on a variety of legal issues.

Financial Eligibility

Our funding requires that we ask you for information about your household’s income and assets.  A member of our team will ask for this information when they speak to you. Please have your household financial information available.  Generally, we need to speak directly to the person with the legal problem, unless the person with a legal problem is a minor or you are the guardian of the person with the legal problem.

Legal Emergency

If you have a court date or hearing of any kind that is already scheduled, or you are in receipt of court papers or a letter from an attorney, or have a legal emergency including anything relating to threat of eviction, utility shut-off, or domestic violence, please call (877) 777-6152 IMMEDIATELY and follow the prompts.  If you are in physical danger call 911 immediately.
